Tshepo Nzimande

Tshepo ‘Zuz’muzi’ Nzimande debuted onto the showbiz scene through his modelling and later acting career in the late 80’s. In 1990 he snapped-up a big role as a troubled son ‘Zuz’muzi’ of a successful businessman in the 1st and 2nd series of the TV drama “Hlala Kwabafileyo”. The role of “Zuz’muzi” gained him a lot of publicity with the other big players in the industry which saw him land more prominent roles on the local drama scene.

In 1995 Tshepo together with a friend established “KK Productions” after recording his debut album ‘Mpompoloza’ under CCP/EMI Records. Tshepo decided then and there that his mark was in the music industry. “KK Productions” produced Gospel and Kwaito projects.

In 1998 he joined Bula Music as a PRO (artist liaison officer), and it was during this time in the music industry, building his reputation as the best of the next generation of innovative songwriters and producers, that Nzimande laid the foundation of what would become a turning point in his career.

 

Tshepo discovered the following musicians which some sold more than 400 000 units and other musicians were multi-platinum selling albums;

●      ”Prince of Gospel” Lundi Tyamara 

●      Kholeka, 

●      S’fiso Ncwane and 

●      Sechaba 

●      Shwii No Mntekhala

●      Thokozani Langa​

 Zuz’muzi Music’s discovered and released amongst many others;

●      Fikile Mlomo’s debut album titled “Umangisuka”, 

●      Donny Ngwenyama’s  “Basheshe Bahleka”,

●      Zanefa Ngidi

 

Tshepo Nzimande has become a household name. While he has served on various boards in the past such as AIRCO (Association for Independent Record Companies), SAMIC (South African Music Industry Council), MOSHITO and RAV (Risa Audio Visual. He today and currently continues to serve on CAPASSO (Composers Authors and Publishers Association) as well as the recently established MCSA (Music Creators of South Africa) all aimed at the growth and development of the South African Music industry, making invaluable contributions towards the future thereof.
